dc.description.abstractIntroduction of cage Fish Culture in Lake Victoria by the University as one of the pioneers led to widespread adoption of the technology by the local fishermen and other investors. The main objective of the project was to establish a research and training facility on Cage Fish culture In Lake Victoria and transfer the technology to the community. The project aimed to improve food security and sustainable livelihoods of the fishing communities along the shores of Lake Victoria as well as create a viable business entity for the University resource mobilization initiatives.en_US
